Jennifer tells stories of traveling by wagon train and the early tourism with Stanley Steam Cars in the newly created Rocky Mountain National Park. 2015 marks the 100th Anniversary of Rocky and Jennifer has created a period painting of the Park as it would have been in 1915. This a story about my friend, Jay Red Hawk, and about the inspiration for my award- winning painting, "Look to the East Wind" that was exhibited in the first Oil Painters of America Summer Salon Show June 21st through August 31st, 2013. Jay plays his Native American Flute on a ranch in South Dakota. Step back in time and enjoy this story of the American Frontier. "Look to the East Wind" won the Benevolent Artist Award at the OPA Show in Petoskey, Michigan in 2013, the Bickersteth Brown & Associates of Raymond James Financial Services Purchase Award, and has been published in Art of the West Magazine. Fort Concho National Monument hosted the American Plains Artists "Art of the Plans" Exhibition in 2016, and from that show, they invited 4 artists for a special American Plains Artists 4 person show to be held in July 2017. Invited artist, Jennifer Hunter, shares her paintings for the show with some behind the scenes segments and introduces her horse who is very enthusiastic about the paintings. This video is funny and entertaining and showcases both watercolor and oil paintings by Hunter of the American West.
